Muse Announces New Single “Dig Down,” Out May 18th

Earlier this week, Muse revealed that a new single was “coming soon” when they released a pair of video teasers. They have now confirmed that “Dig Down” will be out on May 18th. This will be Muse’s first new song since they released their album Drones in 2015. “Dig Down” may also be the first taste of Muse’s upcoming 8th studio album, expected out by 2018.

“Dig Down” comes out on May 18th, just two days before Muse kicks of their tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and PVRIS. It’s a great way to get the tour started!

Will “Dig Down” be a standalone single? Or the first preview of an upcoming album?

The song is being released in conjunction with Muse’s upcoming tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and PVRIS, which kicks off on May 20th, just two days after the song’s debut. (Check out tour dates and tickets before it’s too late!)

Last November, Muse hinted that the new album may be more stripped down and acoustic… or hip-hop. They also said the new album most likely won’t be ready until 2018. At the time they only tentatively mentioned a new song or two could be ready in 2017. Luckily for us, that part came true, and only a few months into the year!

“Dig Down” may be the first hint of Muse’s upcoming 8th album, which will serve as the followup to their 2015 record, Drones. Get excited for the new single and music video coming next week! Keep checking back here for all the latest on Muse’s new music.
