Andrew McMahon Enters Studio
Andrew McMahon has just entered the studio to begin work on new music! His last release was his 4-song EP, The Pop Underground, from spring 2013. It was his first solo release, and marked a distinct departure in his pop rock style with Jack’s Mannequin. Instead, he went for a slick, pop sound with more synths than guitars. There is no word yet on whether his new music will continue this pop direction, or if he will return to a more organic rock sound. He has also not indicated whether this will be another EP or a full length album. He only shared the following along with his Instagram picture:
“Think I’m going to ride this spaceship for a while.”
Whatever style of music Andrew McMahon is working on, it is sure to be great. Stay tuned for more updates on his studio progress.
