Muse Releases Science Fiction Music Video For “Mercy” Accompanying ‘Drones’ Release
After months of building anticipation, Muse’s new album Drones finally came out today. It was led by the teaser “Psycho” and the official first single, “Dead Inside.” But Muse didn’t stop there: They released lyrics videos for four other songs, including a power ballad called “Mercy.”
Today, in conjunction with the Drones release, “Mercy” gets an official music video with a science fiction plot. It’s set in a dystopian world and focuses on a blonde girl who seems to be studied and controlled by the men in suits around her. Things are unclear until a twist in the middle when the girl finds out there are others like her. Check it out below:
Drones just came out today via Warner Music. In addition to “Mercy,” the album also features new tracks like “Reapers,” “The Handler,” and “Defector.” You can buy Drones on iTunes now.
