Hear P!nk’s Rootsy New Song, “Walk Me Home”

Earlier this month, P!nk unexpectedly revealed that she was about to put out a new single, “Walk Me Home,” from a forthcoming album called Hurts 2B Human. We’re still loving her Beautiful Trauma singles, but P!nk’s newest song is already out! Fans can hear “Walk Me Home” now and learn the words with its new lyric video.

“Walk Me Home” is a mid-tempo, familiar-sounding song. It’s comparable to P!nk’s previous lead single, “What About Us,” in both its pacing and its subtly political themes. However, the new single also forges into folksy, Americana-pop territory, with ukulele and a strong kick drum driving the music. It’s similar to the rootsy pop trend that reached its peak in the early 2010s. Within P!nk’s own catalogue, the closest comparison may be “I Am Here,” from her 2017 record, Beautiful Trauma.

The lyrics describe a troubled world and a need to escape it all. As P!nk sings, “I can’t be alone with all that’s on my mind / So say you’ll stay with me tonight / Cause there is so much wrong going on outside.” The single comes with a dusky lyric video with the words displayed in glowing neon, so it’ll be easy to memorize them all in no time.
