Last week, Lana Del Rey spoke to Elle UK about her new music, confirming that some of it is about politics:
I think it would be weird to be making a record during the past 18 months and not comment on how [the political landscape] was making me or the people I know feel, which is not good. It would be really difficult if my views didn’t line up with what a lot of what people are saying.
So far, “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind” is the first political new song we’ve heard from her. You can stream it on Spotify or buy it on iTunes now. Lana also wrote a political new song called “God Bless America,” which will be on her new record.
There’s no confirmation yet on if “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind” will appear on Lana’s upcoming album, Lust For Life. Lana already released two songs from the album: “Love” and the title track (which features The Weeknd). Speaking of “Lust For Life,” Lana promises that the single’s music video will be out soon.
Lust For Life is rumored to come out on May 26th, though the date has not been officially announced. Catch up on all we know about the album so far, and keep checking back here for all the latest Lana Del Rey news.
