Zac Farro Is Officially Back With Paramore!

Big news, Paramore fans! Zac Farro is officially back with the band! The original co-founder and ex-drummer is an ex no more.

Back in 2010, Zac and his brother Josh Farro left Paramore on less-than-nice terms. They went their separate ways, with Zac living in New Zealand before starting his own music project, Halfnoise. Paramore, meanwhile, was left as a trio until bassist Jeremy Davis left the band at the end of 2015. As a duo, frontwoman Hayley Williams and guitarist Taylor York began working on Paramore’s fifth album one year ago. Last June, Zac mysteriously appeared in the band’s studio sneak peeks. Was he back with the band?

Last August, Zac clarified that he did indeed play drums on the new album. However, he had not written on the songs, and was not officially back with the band. He wasn’t sure if he’d even play live with them. But he did say he’d love to rejoin if he could make it work with Halfnoise, too.

Well, it looks like they worked it all out, because Zac is now officially back with Paramore.

Update: The band shared some more updates:

At this point, we’re just weeks or months away from Paramore’s upcoming fifth album. They recorded the album between March and October 2016. This will be their first as a trio with Zac rather than Jeremy.

More news is sure to follow in the coming weeks. The title, release date, tracklisting, and cover art should be available soon, as well as the first single. Catch up on all we know so far, and keep checking back here for all the latest on Paramore’s upcoming album.
