Two months ago, Simple Plan’s released a lyric video for their ballad, “Perfectly Perfect”. Now the single has a proper music video that brings life to the sincere lyrics. In the song, Pierre Bouvier describes all the little things he loves about his wife, even if she sees them as flaws. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all he sees is her beauty.
The music video highlights the sentiment with a cast of couples. Simple Plan makes sure this video applies to everyone, too, as it celebrates diversity within the pairs. Same-sex couples, interracial couples, and individuals with a disability and a loving partner by their side all appear in the heartwarming video. “Perfectly Perfect” accentuates the footage, and the extended music between verses allows the couples to describe their situations. They explain how they met, what they don’t like about themselves, and why they love each other anyway. The children and kisses at the end may be enough to move you to tears.
