Gwen Stefani Debuts Emotional New Single “Used To Love You”

Gwen Stefani has spent most of this year writing new songs for her third solo album, and given her recently announced divorce from Gavin Rossdale, it’s likely that he is a key source of her inspiration. On Saturday night, Gwen proved that when she premiered a brand new song she wrote about her personal life. The title says it all: “Used To Love You” describes Gwen’s long relationship with Gavin and the mixed feelings she has now that it’s all ending.

Gwen debuted the song live during her concert in New York on October 17th, and she says that it is most likely going to be her new single. Check out the live performance below, and get ready to hear “Used To Love You” all over radio soon:

Although Gwen had a premature start with her new solo music last year – releasing “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark The Fire” before her album was finished – Gwen seems to be on track to release her new album soon. She’s been writing songs nonstop for the last few months, struck by intense inspiration since the divorce. She already has about 20 new songs on top of what she wrote in 2014. Earlier this year, Gwen performed a ballad called “Start A War,” which will hopefully still be included on her album.

There’s no specific timetable for when we can expect Gwen’s new album, but it will most likely be out this winter or early in spring 2016. It’s been a long process, and you can read up on all we know about it so far as well as known song titles that could make the cut. Keep checking back here for all the latest Gwen Stefani music news.
