Last month we reported that Avicii had teamed up with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong for his new album. Now, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Avicii has confirmed more about the song and his upcoming record.
The song with Billie Joe Armstrong is called “No Pleasing A Woman,” and from the sound of it, the track may feature vocals by the punk rocker. Other new songs for Avicii’s album feature guest vocalists, such as Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu. Additional collaborators include Chris Martin of Coldplay, Serj Tankian of System Of A Down, and Jon Bon Jovi. Avicii is working with a lot of more rock oriented musicians this time around, which should make for some interesting collaborations.
Avicii says his new album is “going to be a lot more song-oriented.” He currently has around 70 songs, but they will be whittled down to a more manageable number in time for his still-untitled sophomore album to come out later this year. Hopefully his track with Billie Joe Armstrong, “No Pleasing A Woman,” will make the cut!
